I have always been sorry that I let go of my 56 F100 pickup. What I really missed was the 53 F100 I had back in the sixties. I found a decent project in Evanston Wyoming and brought it home in 2020 to Kanab. That fall I went on a long drive picking up parts, once again thinking I would be able to put it all together in a few months. Before that happened we got sidetracked and moved to Colorado. It wasn’t till the fall of 2022 and winter of 2023 that I got back to work on it. First step was to disassemble it all down to the frame and start back up. I got the frame stripped, built a 351 Cleveland and found a rebuilt T5 5 speed. I worked fairly steady on it for several months. I picked up a 9” Ford rear end, rebuilt it and put new Posie springs on it with reversed eyes. Front end is stock with Posies and reversed eyes. Power steering with a CCP kit that is junk along with their power brake set up. Both required a lot of reworking. I have an email from CCP telling me its OK to not have the threads come through the nut on the steering arm. By the time I got the machine work done I was onto some other project. I got the engine back together and its mounted in the frame and that is where it has set for the past 18 months without doing anything to it. I just have trouble getting motivated.
