Bryce Canyon XP
BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK, UTAH
NEW DATE: September 25, 26 & 27, 2015
Three days – 155 miles & 80 miles of LD
Due to lack of interest and few entries the Bryce Ride will no longer be a regular fixture on the XP Calendar. This year however we will continue with an event on the same days but out of the Virgin Outlaw camp. We are doing this to accommodate the riders who have planned their ride season far in advance and won’t cancel the event unless forced to by either AERC or the US Forest Service, neither of which we would expect to have a problem with the decision. Please see the information at the Virgin Outlaw page for directions and information.
Directions: Camp is approx. 7.4 miles east of Highway 89 on Highway 12. Turn left from Hwy 12 onto Tom’s Best Spring Road and go approximately a mile and a quarter to camp. The turn off is at the top of Red Canyon.
Trail: For 2015 we will be using modifications of the VO Trails.
Awards: Individual daily awards are available for the first to finish and the horse in the best condition. An overall best conditioned horse and first to finish awards will be presented. Daily participation awards will be given to all riders. Riders who complete all three days will receive plaques.
